Hola mis amigos! That´s about the extent of my spanish but I hope to learn more by the end of this trip.
So far our stay in Iguitos has been unbelievable. From the accomodations (we´re sleeping in beds with mattresses!) to the prison ministry and team time God has been working crazy things.
I don´t have a specific story to share with you so �´m going to share an experience that I´ve had over the past few days. As I mentioned briefly in my post from training camp I´ve been feeling God calling me to just let go and live without any reservations and so far I´ve been trying to. I think the biggest area this shows up in is worship. Normally I am very reserved in my expression because I don´t like attracting attention to myself, but sometimes, I´ve learned, you just gotta go all out.
The other night the women on the trip were having some girl time and naturally it turned into a dance party. I´m a big fan of dancing as some of you reading this may know so I got into it. After dancing for about an hour we switched the music to worship music. I was still in dancing mode so I thought, why can´t I dance during worship? So I just kept dancing. I´ve never been that expressive in worship before but there´s no reason not to. I could just see Jesus dancing with me and it was so cool. It´s like He was just asking me to join Him. Join Him in dancing as His clean and purified bride. Of course throughout the night there were times when I needed to be still and sit in awe and repentance but then He would just pull me back to my feet to dance with Him again. I really felt like my life should look like that all the time. My life should be centered around following my Savior as He leads because it´s out of pure love that He´s guiding me. When I think of this picture I can´t help but be totally and completely in love with the Creator of the Universe. It doesn´t matter what He has done because who He is is more than enough! So now I can say that I am wholly in love and it´s so satisfying. I´m ready to see what God is going to do the rest of this trip because whatever it is, it´s gonna be awesome!
