This past week in Iquitos has been AWESOME! Our team has been working at a men´s prison, a women´s prison, and working with youth from a local church. My time at the women´s prison has affected me the most! The women in the prison are so gentle and fun! They are hungry for love and I´m glad that over the past week, our team has been able to pour love into their lives. I was even able to share my testimony with them. I thought it would be hard…since I don´t like public speaking… 🙂 but something I´ve been learning is that it´s really not about me. Yes, my testimony displays God´s power and love in MY life, but the reason I have my testimony is to share it with other people so that they can see God´s power and love in THEIR lives. These women in the prison stole a piece of my heart and I will always remember them. So leaving Iquitos tomorrow will be bittersweet. I´m sad to leave these women, but I´m also really excited to see what else God has in store for our team! Keep us in your prayers!
