The water is brown…and we’re still in Georgia!

Hola!!
I'm excited to update y'all on the adventures I have already been on just being at training camp. It has come and gone just as fast as I could imagine. I have already felt God stirring me up on the inside and I have already experienced amazing courage and strength through God. Some fun adventures I have already encountered..

  • Brown water and I don't just mean a little brown, I mean 100% not even see through brown, and we are still in Georgia. Luckily it was only the toilet water and only for a day, so it wasnt bad : ) But I definietly think this is God's way of preparing me for even browner more dirty water in Peru, so all I can say is bring it on!
  • I hiked over the river and through the woods hoisting around a pretty big sized log, which represnts all the fears and doubts I have about myself. Carrying all that weight around reminded me of how much baggage I have on my shoulders and how much it can hold me back, I can't wait to see what happens when I surrender all that to God and see how light I can become.
  • I have made a shelter with my team from nothing but rope and tarp. Not to mention creating our very own fire with only the nature surrounding us. Talk about feeling empowered, getting to spend a night in the woods and only having the bare minimum really makes you remember who has all the control!

  • My favorite thing I have experienced is my team. They are a group of people who not only love God but love me just for exactly who I am. I can't wait to spend 2 more months with them and see how far our relationships will go!

Today is the 4th and final day at training camp, and I have already learned so much but there is one thing I learned from one of my leaders I can't wait to put into use everyday. Instead of counting down my days and feeling limited on how much time I have, I am going to wake up and decide everyday is day 1. The first day of me following God and sharing love, and if I can do this how many people can I help and most of all how much help can I get from others? I am so excited know that everyday I wake up is the first day I get to share, invite, and experience God's love. I can't wait to see what happens when God brings me to new adventures each and every BRAND NEW DAY!

Until next time, Hasta Luego and Dios te Bendiga!
