Free to Dance

Hallelujah! The Lord is so good and faithful to answer prayers on the trip already! Saturday morning I shared with my team that over the past couple months God has freed me from chains of comparison, insecurities, lies, and fear of what others think. Though I knew God freed me, I struggled with questioning if I was really free and standing firm in freedom. I asked my team to pray over me, and already God has answered our prayers beyond my imagination! God called me to fully surrender my fear and care of what others think of me, and He has...

Prayers Answered

Since I have been here, so many great things have happened. It’s day four, and it feels like day 104. (But in a good way!)  I realized before I came that I had so many stresses and worries that were taking over. I was so excited for the trip.. but at the same time I had a stress that was just overwhelming. But once I got here, wow. God has answered all of my prayers. Not only mine, but everyone’s! My team is absolutely amazing! I really could not ask for a more welcoming, more open, more wonderful group as my team and ultimately my family for the next two months....

WE. ARE. FAM-ILY!

I had no idea I would have such an amazing time at training camp! It is so fun to be in community with all of the other people heading out to the other countries. The best part, however, is being in community with my own team. We have grown so close in the past three days. We have prayed over one another, we have shared secrets, we have been vulnerable with each other, we have watched a teammate be set free from years of guilt, we have seen into each others hearts, and we have truly become a family. I am so blessed to know these people and to be able to spread God’s love to the people...

The Adventure of Training Camp

Hola friends and family,   God is sooooo good!  These past couple days have been awesome and God has proven Himself real to me.  Also, I am so encouraged by the team and unity that God has already given us and I’m so excited for it to grow even more!  There is so much life here and as mentioned before, God has shown Himself real.  The team has grown so close and I know personally, I am free to open up already with issues pressing on my heart, even after only 3 days.  One especially is apathy and even since Saturday, there has been more joy and peace...

Wrecked For the Ordinary

After I heard these words I couldn’t stop thinking about them. They brought me joy, but also put things into perspective. When I heard “you will not longer be the same at the end of this two months, but you will be wrecked for the ordinary” so many things went through my head. How am I going to  be wrecked for the ordinary? What even is ordinary? What does this require of me? What does this mean? I couldn’t stop thinking about this simple but powerful statement, but it’s already proving to be true.  Over the past 4 days of training, I can already see...

The Beginning

I was so excited when i found out i  got to write to you guys! God has already moved in me so much, and some of the team feel like family already. On our first night we met a homeless man named Clark who was a major inspiration to me because he was handing out PB&J’s to other homeless people. He proved that you can always be doing Gods work no matter your situation. I encourage my friends and family to read my whole teams blog looking for pictures and to encourage them as well, We won’t be able to update very often so please find the time to leave me and my new family...
