God is already moving in a powerful way and each one of us are experiencing his love and presence in a deep sense. These past couple days have been filled with God telling me to let go.  Let go of my reservations and dive into all that He has for me.  He has been saying “Don’t hold back.  Now is the time to be free!”  Now I am ready to be free fom any hindrances and experience the amazing things God has in store for the next two months.

When I decided to join this trip, I had no idea what to expect. I had heard good things about it from friends, I heard many positive things about mission trips, but I also was told to be careful in how I approached it.  As some of you know, the last year, and the last few months in particular have been very challenging to me in many ways.  So when I set foot on the plane, I’ll admit I was worried. After my brother dropped me off, I started to wonder what exactly I had gotten myself into. I had deep hopes in my heart for what God would do with this...

On our first night here in the AIM HQ in Gainesville, we had our first evening worship service. The service was about surrender, letting go of the things in our lives, past, etc., that were looming over us and clouding our spirits. We each received an egg and wrote on it the thing(s) we felt we needed to surrender, and gave up the egg once we were ready to do so. Most only wrote one or two words, I wrote so many that I covered the entire egg. Before I came on this trip I asked the LORD to have me fall in love with Him and be surrounded by people who are in the same boat. I mean, I already love Him but I want more — I want to fall in love with Him. I want to have such a deep relationship with Him that almost none can fathom. Training camp has been an amazing experience. However, connecting with my teammates throughout this experience has been even more amazing!        Hallelujah! The Lord is so good and faithful to answer prayers on the trip already! Saturday morning I shared with my team that over the past couple months God has freed me from chains of comparison, insecurities, lies, and fear of what others think. Though I knew God freed me, I struggled with questioning if I was really free and standing firm in freedom.
