I Feel Like Huck Finn

Buenos dias con todos! Gracias por leyendo mi blog. (good day everyone! thank you for reading my blog) and greetings from Nauta! it feels so strange to have internet after so long. Part of me honestly didnt want to check it, didnt want to concede the wild part of me thats been alive and thriving within my jungle atmosphere. Its really interesting how much your perspective on something can change so quickly. When we first went into the jungle, we had an epic ride on a pretty big river barge. In big letters on the side was painted Capicidad 150 personas, no mas. I would estimate there were...

update from the Jungle

We (field support team) spoke with the team leaders shortly today and wanted to pass on a little update for the team since they don't have internet to post blogs.  Benny & Scottie said that God has been showing up in some incredible ways as they've been ministering to people there.  The team is doing really well together and the leaders are encouraged by how things are going.  If the team finds internet before they come home, they will be posting some blogs.  Thanks for your prayers for them! Writting on God´s Heart 2

I wish I could only bring every one here and give you my feelings. On the outside it might just seem like a tourist, just amazed and excited about everything. It is so much more than that. I wanna Go Deeper, But I Dont Know How to Swim

Several days ago I woke up dissatisifed. Dissatisified with where I was with the Lord, dissatisfied with the status quo, dissatisfied with my level of discipleship, in short a lot of things. I began to pray that the Lord would take me deeper into His heart.  This is a dangerous prayer, and God loves it when we pray dangerous prayers. Without a risk taking personality in the spiritual realm, there is a tendancy to get complacent really fast. Complacency is the opposite of growth. There is no growth without pain. Let that mess up your theology; I know its messed with mine. Sometimes the...

Expecting the unexpected…

…sometimes just doesn´t  cut  it. Every so often there is something that happens that goes beyond that and catches you off guard. Yesterday we got on a large boat expecting to be on it for a day and a half with our supplies to go to a village down the river for ministry. Knowing Peru we weren´t surprised when the boat was still at the dock 3 hours after it was supposed to leave. However. The unexpected struck when we learned that the boat had been delayed for 24 hours! Woah! Not only that but the boat was so much more crowded than we thought! Despite these...
