Hello everyone! I just want to let you all know that we made it to the jungle without any complications, and that I am enjoying it very much. It is so different from my beloved Wisconsin northwoods, but so beautiful as well. The jungle kids are so precious and so much fun. We did a three day VBS and hung out on Sunday after church, too. The people at the churchschoolcamp where we are staying are also very dear to me. We have been here five days now, and it has been such a blessing getting to know them. They have such servant hearts and so much joy.
Since beeing here, God has filled me with so much joy! The hearts and attitudes of my team members fills me with joy, the jungle atmosphere and people fill me with joy, the laughter and friendliness of the church fills me with joy, and the affection of the children fill me with joy. I am continually amazed, day after day, of the love and blessings God gives me. I have been learning more and more what it truly means and looks like to live in God´s grace and in freedom. His love and joy flow through me into the people I minister to here, even though the language barrier causes communication to be minimal. I am so thankful to be able to be a light to the people of Peru.
On Wednesday we leave Nauta and head out on the river, where we will be stopping for several days each at different villages. I would appreciate any prayer for guidance for our team as we seek God´s heart and will at each village. I am excited to continue to be used by God in whatever way He wants!
