When I decided to join this trip, I had no idea what to expect. I had heard good things about it from friends, I heard many positive things about mission trips, but I also was told to be careful in how I approached it. As some of you know, the last year, and the last few months in particular have been very challenging to me in many ways. So when I set foot on the plane, I’ll admit I was worried. After my brother dropped me off, I started to wonder what exactly I had gotten myself into. I had deep hopes in my heart for what God would do with this time, with this step that I was making, but I was worried to call on Him to fufill those desires. But what I found out on day one made me realize how ridiculous I was to doubt Him. Guys, I can’t wait to tell you all of the wonderful things God has done for me over the past 72 hours! In short, He has renewed me, He has given me such a great joy and has completely energized me for what we are about to do! I have met amazing people and seen some wonderful things, but more importantly I have realized that I can expect a very great deal from this trip and I can expect that God is going to take me far beyond my expectations!
