We arrived in Peru just yesterday but we have already had many opportunities to step up and go and share the LOVE OF CHRIST with the Peruvian people and the team has really stepped up beauftifully in what could be looked at as a scary and tough situation to talk and share your story with a bunch of people that you have never met. God is good though and the people that we have talked to so far have been very receptive and ready to hear what we have to say and I really think that these people are hungry for what the Lord has to offer them and that they are very close to being a very Godly people.
The first night we went to a local church that was based out of a workers building and a couple of us got to share our testimonies and speak what the Lord had put on our hearts for that night and it was honestly beautiful! We than had a chance to just lay hands and pray and love on people. Something else that I thought about sharing was after that we went and had some celebratory ice cream in honor of Matt Just on his 21st birthday which was a lot of fun and I got to interact with some Peruvian kids for the first time and that is something that I have been looking forward to and continue to look forward to do more of!
Today we Got to go to the local mens prison to share with the guys there! I know that we were supposed to be encouraging them but really they encouraged me as much if not more than we did them. It was just so good to see that God had been doing work in there and it was good to see some happy people in jail who genuinly wanted to know more about their creator!
We still have more work to do tonight part of our group is going to do some work similar to last nights work this afternoon and a group of us our going tonight to a simular situation but to a church that has not been outreached to yet so that is exciting!
Well I just want to express how thankful we are for all the prayers that are being offered up to me and our team and to let you know that all is well with us and all will always be well while we have the big guy on our side! No matter what is going on physically God promises that he will take care of us and that he is always with us! Love you all and GOD BLESS YOU!
