This has been one crazy journy so far and it has only been the beginning. Our first day of camp was amazing and my team became such a family so fast. The girls are so encouraging and amazing helpers in keeping my eyes on Jesus and not missing the people I love back at home and the guys are encouraging in their love for God and being protectors of us girls in Peru-Amazon. It is a beautiful thing to see. :). One thing thst I keep coming back to is the freedom I have in Christ. During training camp one of the speakers talked about being caught up in prisons and that all we have to do is let go and we can be free from these prisons. I know for me the prison of comparison, withdrawl, and especially bitterness are the ones that kills my heart the most. The comparison of wanting what other people have or seeing their relationships with others and being like "why don´t I have that"? Or with the prison of with drawl of feeling so alone that you isolate because if you are not with people then you can not get hurt…right?
NO, all these prisons all start with one of satans lies whether it be not good enough, or putting comparsion in ther heart to damage relationships. I know many people go through this because we are all human, but with Christ there is a freedom that is so beautiful and breathe taking that makes my heart rejoice. The past two days we have done prison ministry and my Lord the language barrier was tough, but our God prevailed through it all. Loving the prison women and just being there was all they wanted. They did not need a huge speech or talk, just someone to understand them and bring encouragement and hope to their future, which they felt was broken. But the truth is…there is freedon and it is a beautiful freedom to see and experience.
