Wow! Who would have thought that a little under a year ago, this little West Virginian would be going to Peru? Who would have thought i would fall so in love with it that i would return again this year? After multiple days of traveling, we FINALLY landed in Iquitos and I was assured that this was the place i needed to be this summer! A smart girl once said, wherever you go, there you are, and that could not be more true! I am still in shock that I am in Peru! We have had so many opportunities it is unreal! My team is bangin awesome! The other night we had to make dinner which was spaghetti so i thought id give it a go. Bad idea. I hand measured the ingredients for the sauce and i basically burnt the entire thing. I chipped off the pieces of burnt sauce and told everyone that it was a Peruvian delicacy-they all totally bought it and ate it! I felt like a champ! But in all seriousness, God is working through my team and lives are being changed! We have FULL confidence that the Lord is going to do mighty things in the next two months. We leave for the jungle on Sunday, and internet will be slim to none, but know that I am personally grateful for everyone who is reading this!
