Night before last our team got to go to el colegio (school) that is Christian based.
The speaker did his thing and then requested someone give their
testimony. I did! Up till this point I have been sitting back and well i am not sure why.
This time felt right.
I stumbled and got tongue twisted but I pray that my inspiration of acceptance and that it is
I who creates who I am and who I will be, touched someones heart.
No matter anyones judgement or assesments. Our past does not make
our desisions for our future or the choices we make,
that create who we are or who we can be!!
After prayer the pastor was speaking words of wisdom to me, about my blessing
to be a leader and an example, and really a whole bunch of things I needed to hear, when I
noticed a guy about my age walked up to us and just stood
there as though he had a question for the pastor, that was my guess anyway since I
very obivously DONT speak Spanish, lol …. but he didnt.
After standing talking about five minuets or more the pastor and I finished talking.
This guy wasnt waiting to ask a quesion or talk to the pastor but he was
WAITING for me
and asked if I would pray for him!! Heavy on your heart!?!
Ya I know. I felt so sought after, so desired. Like God was giving me a taste of what He likes, loves, His peace, and joy that He gets when we seek after and desire Him. Ofcourse God would want to cover us in His peace and feeling of comfort! Just like I immediatly wanted to comfort this boy!! Ooh the many great ways God shows us He loves me!!
That night 4 people specificaly came up to me and asked if I would pray for them. I couldnt explain in enough words how ……. touched I was by them ……
touched by God.
He is writting on mi corazon (my heart) His unfailing Love!!
Being the Amazon group we really dont have the best communication or very much of it, so I appologize for no pictures at this time but imagine this…
ice cold showers every other day or maybe every few days
mario=carts to get around town
funny smells and food
dirty feet the second im out of the shower (if it is even considered a shower)
sweating … pretty much all the time
no a/c
no tony´s
only a week´s worth of clothes
huge mosquitos
no blow dryers
no ice
getting stuck in ditches
walking/dancing in the rain and mud
a lot more i could mention but
really stripping ourself of material things…
and i would not take any of this back!
God has loved and blessed my team, more importantly my heart, deeper than I have ever been!!
Thank you for all the prayers and help to get me here, facing a day and half boat ride to and through the Amazon tomorrow… more blogs to come as soon as I can!! I intend on blogs of adventure, healing the sick and raising the dead, many more gifts and the power of God ….. God is going to =LET IT RAIN= of His Holy Spirit!!
