Settled In

Hola from Iquitos! We´ve only been here for a week, and already God is doing amazing things, and our team has become a family. With random dancing, camu camu ice cream, lots of late night mn hang outs, and eating suri (a giant grub that tastes slightly like chicken), the trip has been full of exciting adventures so far and we have had lots of time to bond and get to know each other. One of the coolest things about our group is the sense of community that we all felt right from the start, and I LOVE coming together with the other members of my group whether it be to pray, share...

Yeah, It´s Hot Hot Hot!

Wow, what a difference there is between here and our country! Of course there are the regular differences, such as culture, traditions, physical lay of the land, etc. But man, it is HOT! Sometimes I feel as if we´re in a sauna 24/7. I wake up in sweat, shower, then start sweating again, and then go to bed in sweat. Sorry for grossing all of you out! I have to laugh. I have read my first few letters from robbie (you totally chickened out by the majority of your writing being a quote :P) Mamma´s first one (I read it the night that things changed for me, before changed, it actually ransacked my...

sorry mom and dad but I think I will stay in Peru!

I LOVE IT HERE! Iquitos is so amazing and I just love riding around on the little motocar taxis. The team is bonding so well and everyone does such an amazing job of lifting each other up. I have never felt more in touch with the Holy Spirt until this trip. They said this would be life changing but I had no idea!   Between travel time and planning time we really only started our ministry just yesterday. We met with the youthgroup leaders at a church and prayed over them and planned a youth service for that night. After the morning meeting some other muscians and I went and practiced...
