Free to Dance

Hallelujah! The Lord is so good and faithful to answer prayers on the trip already! Saturday morning I shared with my team that over the past couple months God has freed me from chains of comparison, insecurities, lies, and fear of what others think. Though I knew God freed me, I struggled with questioning if I was really free and standing firm in freedom. I asked my team to pray over me, and already God has answered our prayers beyond my imagination! God called me to fully surrender my fear and care of what others think of me, and He has...

Prayers Answered

Since I have been here, so many great things have happened. It’s day four, and it feels like day 104. (But in a good way!)  I realized before I came that I had so many stresses and worries that were taking over. I was so excited for the trip.. but at the same time I had a stress that was just overwhelming. But once I got here, wow. God has answered all of my prayers. Not only mine, but everyone’s! My team is absolutely amazing! I really could not ask for a more welcoming, more open, more wonderful group as my team and ultimately my family for the next two months....

WE. ARE. FAM-ILY!

I had no idea I would have such an amazing time at training camp! It is so fun to be in community with all of the other people heading out to the other countries. The best part, however, is being in community with my own team. We have grown so close in the past three days. We have prayed over one another, we have shared secrets, we have been vulnerable with each other, we have watched a teammate be set free from years of guilt, we have seen into each others hearts, and we have truly become a family. I am so blessed to know these people and to be able to spread God’s love to the people...

The Adventure of Training Camp

Hola friends and family,   God is sooooo good!  These past couple days have been awesome and God has proven Himself real to me.  Also, I am so encouraged by the team and unity that God has already given us and I’m so excited for it to grow even more!  There is so much life here and as mentioned before, God has shown Himself real.  The team has grown so close and I know personally, I am free to open up already with issues pressing on my heart, even after only 3 days.  One especially is apathy and even since Saturday, there has been more joy and peace...

Let Go and Let God!

Last night was our last official night of ministry in Nauta.  We decided to spend it in town doing ATLs (Ask The Lord).  Here is how they work: we split up into 3 groups.  Each group spends some time praying silently and asking the Lord to guide our ministry instead of ourselves.  (I think it is funny how often we forget to allow God to lead us, even on a missions trip.)  After a few minutes in silent prayer we share what the Lord put on our hearts.  Sometimes God gives us things sometimes he does not, but one thing is for sure, he is leading us even if it...

Nauta!

Buenas tardes from Nauta!  We have now been residing in the city of Nauta (Crystal’s home town) since Friday. Tomorrow we will be heading out on the river to the next village. The Holy Spirit is moving in mighty way throughout Nauta.   Although our time here is short, our team has broken up into different zones all over the city, looking to the Lord to lead us to people who either do not know the Lord, or people who simply need some encouragement and love. Each day, different people come back with amazing stories. On the first day of street ministry, a couple who had...
