Night before last our team got to go to el colegio (school) that is Christian based. The speaker did his thing and then requested someone give their testimony. I did! Up till this point I have been sitting back and well i am not sure why. This time felt right. Where to begin? From Peruvian peanut ice cream to not showering to ministering in a prison, this has already been the BEST experience of my life…and it has only been 7 days!! Well first of all, training camp was AWESOME, and so is Peru. Heat is a powerful force in our world. It hardens things, warms them up, burns them, and purifies them. It has forced us to grow and bond as a team as well as cover each others weaknesses. God has taught me so much in such a short amount of time, its incredible! Im learning about how our living sacrifices burn away the sin in our lives and purify the good things at the same time. So here is my first blog post and it will probably be pretty scattered since I have so much on my mind. First of all, I LOVE it here. The flight over the Andes was so incredibly beautiful and I have decided that I want to go there on my honeymoon. The people live simple lives and are very warm and welcoming. We are spending the first few days in Iquitos, which has about a million people in it and on Monday we will leave for Nauta and the Amazon jungle!
