Buenos Dias, Tardes, o Noche!
We have arrived in Nauta Peru safe and sound! We have to come to town for internet so this is my first post of the week and my last post for a while. Words cannot explain how amazing it is here. The family we are staying with is absolutely amazing. I have learned mucho mas espanol and even taught some english. I have already had a lot of experiences since we arrived Wednesday.
We got to watch the cook where we are staying kill and cook our chicken that we ate that day! I thought it was pretty awesome and let me tell you it is the best chicken I have ever eaten. The food is very good here so far I have had nothing too out of the ordinary, plantains and new fruits is as far out in the food region we´ve gone..so far!
We got to put on an impromptu VBS for the kids in Nauta that we planned it the night/morning before. It was so inspiring to see the heart of these kids and teach them more about God´s heart for them. I knew this would happen but I didn´t think it would be so quick into the trip, but I already LOOVVVVEEE the kids that we have met. They always want to play play play and laugh constantly, and thank God laughter is contagious!
The town of Nauta is busy all the time but the people are are really friendly. I have never said more Hola´s in my life! This afternoon we met some pretty awesome teenagers that live in the area who have just come to meet Christ. They are sharing their ambitions and dreams with us after only 10 minutes of meeting. If they thought we were here to teach them, wow! They put me on fire for God and life after only 20 minutes, what can happen after a week?!
I am so happy to share with you what is going on here in Nauta! God has blessed me a team who is willing to listen and help me grow in faith. And with the family and people here to be so gracious and kind. Love is all around me and I want to share it with everyone. It is such an AWESOME feeling.
